During a Branson, Missouri Board of Alderman meeting Tuesday evening, the Branson Chamber of Commerce presented a marketing report covering the months of January-April 2009. The report delivered wonderful news for those involved in toursim and is a great sign for United States citizens: visitation was up 5.4% over the same period in 2008. Spending per party was up - $765 compared to $638 in 2008, first time visitors increased to 27% from 15% in ‘08, and visitors stayed longer - 4.7 days compared to 3.9 days in ‘08
